Bishop Oyedepo Spotted Preaching To People Near Devil’s Shrine At Sango Otta

Bishop Oyedepo was sighted at two different points on Tuesday evening March 20, with people swarming all over him. According to findings, he was there for nothing than evangelism.
The bishop was first sighted sitting in a Toyota land cruiser Prado jeep, plate number — near under sango bridge, facing Lagos-Abeokuta express road, preaching to a gathering of people.

After his preaching which lasted for about 30 mins, he told the crowd to put down their names and phone numbers on a piece of paper shared by his envoys.

He further told them that the collection of their details is to establish a contact with him. He said: “the number they collected from you is for you to share your testimony because I know you will all have a testimony to share after this prayer.

Tonight, you will receive a message from a number and with that number you can share your testimony with me and also book an appointment with me.”

Following that Africa’s richest pastor moved his convoy to Sango-Ota road, near the Shrine of Esu-Odara. The shrine is just a stone throw from where he was and as usual, he repeated his modules of preaching and also followed up by taking the details of the crowd with a promise of reaching back to them.

Those that made up the crowd were market men and also women, Agberos (Street Urchins), workers returning home and all sorts of people.

Meanwhile, the Ojubo Esu (Satan’s Shrine) has been at Sango bus stop junction for years. The small house painted in white and black is where Esu worshipers converge most times, especially every August 20th, to worship the deity.

*HOW CAN I OVERCOME TEMPTATION ?*

*HOW CAN I OVERCOME TEMPTATION ?*

The Scriptures tell us that we all face temptations. First Corinthians 10:13 says, *“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man.”* Perhaps this provides a little encouragement as we often feel that the world is bearing in on us alone and that others are immune to temptations. We are told that Christ was also tempted: *“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin”* (Hebrews 4:15).

“I May Be With People At Home And While We Are Talking I Will Be Gone” – Benson Idahosa

“I May Be With People At Home And While We Are Talking I Will Be Gone” – Benson Idahosa

March 12, 2018: 20 Years After Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa: The man who vividly described his death.
.
By Leke Beecroft
March 12, 2018 makes it 20 years that the icon and ambassador of the gospel of Christ to the world, Benson Idahosa departed suddenly. He continues to speak loudly even in death. What many do not know is that he actually described in vivid terms how he was to depart when his time was over and that was exactly what happened on the day he died at the ripe young age of 59 years and 6 months. Leke Beecroft brings together the description by Idahosa in one of his
sermons “Benefit of Death” of his death with the day he actually died as documented in The Week magazine editions of 17 and 30 March 1998 for the first time ever in his
forthcoming book, as yet another evidence that as controversial as he might have seemed, truly, Idahosa was a man of God.
“I will go when my work is finished; therefore when I am gone nobody should be double-minded concerning the will of God for my death. I am going to go by the will of God, not
the will of witches or wizards. No man can kill me. Many have tried to hurt me spiritually and physically to no avail.
.
God has not given the key of the vault in which he has hidden me to any man or devil. He did not invest so much in me only to hand me over to the devil to fulfil his dark and
unholy idiosyncracies. I am indestructible by the grace of God, so are you if you know my Jesus. You know, here in Edo land, I do not know about you and where you come from, but here in Edo land, where I am from, when a man dies, the wife is always accused of having killed him.

“A Member Flew In From Germany To Canaanland For Every Sunday Service” – Oyedepo

“A Member Flew In From Germany To Canaanland For Every Sunday Service” – Oyedepo

At time 40:00 to 41:00 Bishop Oyedepo talking to Graduates of Covenant University talked about the importance of Impact.

He explained that without impact there was no way church members would leave Lagos where many other churches (which are very good) existed to come all the way to Ota where Canaanland is located. He cited an example of an individual who comes to worship at Canaanland all the way from Germany for Sunday service.

According to the Bishop the individual flies in on Sunday morning and flies back at Sunday evening to start work on Monday(The Individual presumably owns a Private Jet)

“Tithe Should Be Paid Out Of Love Not Fear” – Bishop Mike Okonkwo

In a video that has now gone viral, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, founder of the Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM),  said pastors are in the habit of using certain “semantics” to manipulate their members into paying tithe.

He said, “The first mention of tithe, there was no curse in it. Abraham gave the tithe of all to Melchizedek which was before the law. There was no curse and he did it willingly.

“I have frightened the church with curses for not paying tithes and that was because I didn’t know any better.

“You know we conjure all kinds of semantics like, ‘If you don’t pay your tithe, your life will be tight,’ and the people pay out of fear without God’s blessing.

“God wants you to pay tithe out of love, it shouldn’t be about the money, but about Jesus.”

In another video, the pastor dispelled the first fruit doctrine – a teaching by some Pentecostal pastors to their members to give all of their first salaries in the year or the first profit realized from their business undertakings as offerings.

Bishop Okonkwo said other pastors have approached him to also enforce payment of first fruit in his church, but he had always refused the counsel.

“Can you imagine all the businessmen, all the profit you made and you bring them to my feet. Even if I did not read it in the Bible, my conscience will not allow me.

“It is not all the gifts you take, take only the one you will be able to go to bed,” he said.

“Prayer Compliments Hardwork” – Nathaniel Bassey

“Prayer Compliments Hardwork” – Nathaniel Bassey

Prayer is not a substitute for hard work. Rather, Prayer Compliments HardWork.” If all it took to win the FIFA World Cup is gathering in the field of play like we always do, then The Super Eagles of Nigeria would have won every FIFA World Cup. But sadly, it takes way more than that.

We pray in the first half. Pray after the first half. And pray at the beginning of the second. Yet….
This just tells you that it takes more than praying and singing “He’s a miracle working God…”
Now this is not just about football. I’m only using this as an illustration.

Prayer is powerful, Wonderful and divine. In fact we have a 12 hour chain on going at the moment. But to think that prayer alone is what we need to fix Nigeria would amount to day dreaming. Because it is not. Prayer may set in motion the resources and chain of events to do so, but the place of design, strategy and sound implementation can not be wished away. It is clearly erroneous theology to think that after we pray things would just fall in place without clear courses of actions taken accordingly. This principle is as through on a personal level as it on a national level.

We must pray and act accordingly. “Actually, your prayer looks for something to ACT ON.”

So don’t just speak in tongues and sing. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

And by he way, I hope the super eagles begin to prepare and work ahead of the World Cup. That way when they gather to pray on the pitch, their prayer finds something to work on.
