Seven Simple Ways You Can Get Rid Of Sweat Stains

Everyone has faced the problem of sweat stains on their favourite dress shirts or clothes and here are a number of do-it-yourself sweat stain solutions sitting in your home right now.

Meat Tenderizer

A meat tenderizer is not the first thing you’d think of when figuring out how to remove sweat stains. But you can tenderize away hard-to-remove stains. Before you wash that damaged sweatshirt, dampen the armpit stain and sprinkle some meat tenderizer on it. Then just wash as usual.

Aspirin

Before you give up all hope of ever getting that yellow sweat stain out of your good white dress shirt, crush two aspirins and mix the powder in 1/2 cup warm water. Soak the stained part of the garment in the solution for two to three hours.

Vinegar

Want to see those sweat marks disappear from shirts and other garments? Just pour a bit of vinegar directly onto the stain, and rub it into the fabric before placing the item in the wash. You can also remove deodorant stains from your washable shirts and blouses by gently rubbing the spot with undiluted vinegar before laundering.

Baking soda

Pretreating clothes with a paste made from 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1/4 cup warm water can help vanquish a variety of stains. For instance, rub it into shirts to remove perspiration stains; for really bad stains, let the paste dry for about two hours before washing. Rub out tar stains by applying the paste and washing in plain baking soda. For collar stains, rub in the paste and add a bit of vinegar as you’re putting the shirt in the wash.

Dish Soap

You can mix one part dish soap with two parts hydrogen peroxide, then scrub the stain and let it sit for an hour.

Salt

Salt is one secret you can use to get rid of those stubborn yellow stains where your shirt meets your armpits. Dissolve 4 tablespoons salt in 1 quart (1 liter) hot water. Sponge the garment with the solution until the stain disappears.

Lemons

Using lemons can help you avoid expensive dry-cleaning bills! Remove unsightly underarm stains from shirts and blouses simply by scrubbing them with a mixture of equal parts lemon juice and water.

My ugly and masculine wife used juju on me – Husband cries for help after 7 years of marriage

An anonymous man who has been married for seven years with kids is accusing his wife of casting a spell on him to influence him in marrying her.

However, after ‘coming back to his senses, he has stated that he would never have chosen her as a spouse if he was to be in his right frame of mind.

According to him, the spell broke away three days ago and is scared to sleep beside his wife because he claimed the woman is ‘ugly’ and has got a masculine stature.

In a chat with David Bondzie on Facebook, the anonymous guy said ‘I think she put a spell on me because, it doesn’t make sense. I came back to my senses three days ago and I have been scared to sleep next to her. I would never have chosen her if I were in my right senses”

Seeking help from David Papa Bondzie Mbir on Facebook, he sent photos of his wife to confirm how horrifying she is, be sure he didn’t marry a man and know why his friends were laughing in their wedding photos.

Confronting his ‘ugly’ wife for a divorce, he was shocked at the reply he got from his wife making him shiver badly in his emancipated bones.

‘My wife claims if I don’t want to be married, I can go. She says she’s already gotten what she wanted from me’, he said.

Harmattan: How to keep snakes away from your home

The harmattan is approaching in Nigeria and other countries in West Africa. The season occurs in the subcontinent from the end of November to the middle of March. It is characterised by the dry and dusty northeasterly trade wind of the same name, which blows from the Sahara Desert over West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea.

Apart from sundry discomfort that the wind causes us, it drives one creature most people cringe about into our path or even our homes: snakes.

Especially when frightened, snakes bite, in the dark or at daytime, and inject venom that may be lethal if the victim does not receive prompt medical attention.

Snakebite poison is a major public health problem in rural communities of Nigeria as indeed in many parts of the tropics. It has been confirmed to be a major cause of mortality and morbidity.

In Nigeria, it is estimated that more than 10,000 people are bitten by snakes each year, though the exact death toll is unknown.

According to official data, only 8.5 per cent of snakebite victims attend hospitals in Nigeria. Bites occur more often while victims were farming, herding or walking although the spitting cobra may bite victims who step on it in its sleep.

The WHO estimates that about 100 000 people die each year as a result of snake bites, and around three times as many amputations and other permanent disabilities are caused by snakebites annually.

The significant features of snake bite are spontaneous haemorrhage, shock, local swelling, bleeding and, occasionally, necrosis. Bites may be complicated by amputation in the affected body parts, blindness, disability, amongst others. If not treated within 26 hours, deep necrosis may set in, requiring amputation of the affected body part

Antivenom remains the hallmark and mainstay of envenoming management while studies in Nigeria confirm its protection of over 80 per cent against mortality from carpet-viper bites.

However, the availability, distribution, and utilisation of antivenom remain challenging.

Last year, PREMIUM TIMES published a report by the News Agency of Nigeria about the havoc snake bites wreaked in Gombe and Plateau states, driven by an acute scarcity of snake anti-venom drugs in the country.

In a telephone interview with PREMIUM TIMES, Fatai Oyediran of the department of public health in the health ministry, however, controverted the report. He said they had 3600 cases of snake bites generally in the country and the total mortality for last year was around 103 for the whole country, not just Gombe and Plateau, even though Gombe had the highest number.

Asked how prepared relevant health agencies are for snake bite cases during this year’s harmattan season, he said “anti-venom is the first item” on their list for the budget.

“Usually, we maker provisions for about 5500 anti-venom and we have provisions for this year (2018) up to 2021,” Mr Oyediran said.

“The only problem is the funding released by the government, to procure to the quantity we want. The drastic cut in the budget in recent times is affecting the money being released, even when we budget for the 6000 anti-venom, we may end up not getting up to that.”

How to keep snakes away from your home

Snakes do not like the hot temperature of harmattan any more than most of us do. In fact, on particularly hot days, snakes have to scramble for refuge in cooler places or they will overheat and die.

Therefore, you might run into snakes as they move back and forth from sunny places to shade.

Snakes come to your home for the cover, moisture, darkness, and food it provides. To drive them away, you have to take all these things away from them. Take as many steps to deprive snakes of cover in your home as possible.

1. Cut the grass short, clear bushes around your house. Snakes hate feeling exposed and avoid open, highly-visible areas.

2. Inspect your home, paying special attention to the gaps under the door. Seal cracks in the foundation of your house or wall and patch the holes.

3. Move your wood piles, these are great spots for snakes as they hate being exposed.

4. Avoid opening your front doors, leaving your windows open for too long (some of these snakes can reach high heights and they are very quiet, you would not see or hear them enter your house.

5. Before sitting under that tree that has that cooling shades, check if there are no snakes lurking around the branches, they love the cool shades too.

6. Check your bed, under your sheets and surrounding before going to bed.

7. Avoid chilling outside the house with mattresses, mats, and wrappers in the evening.

8. Get a snake repellent.

1. Give analgesic for local pain which may be severe, and might be helpful for calming effects.

2. The site of the bite should be wiped but not incised, because incisions can aggravate bleeding.

3. Remove anything tight from around the bitten part of the body.

4. Avoid traditional first aid methods, herbal medicines and other unproven or unsafe forms of first aid.

5. Transport the person bitten to a health facility as soon as possible.

6. Vomiting may occur, so place the person on their left side in the recovery position.

7. Closely monitor airway and breathing and be ready to resuscitate if necessary.

8. If the snake has been killed, it should be taken along to the hospital, in order to identify if it is poisonous or not and what kind of anti-poison is most appropriate.

9. During transit, the body generally and the bitten limb, in particular, should be moved as little as possible, to minimise the spread of venom

Weavons & Wigs Are Dedicated To Shrines In India? Daddy Freeze Writes Open Letter To Patience Ozokwor

Patience Ozokwor and Daddy Freeze

Last week, a video clip emerged from an interview where popular Nollywood actress-turned evangelist, Patience Ozokwor, said that she doesn’t wear wigs and weavons and even closed down her thriving salon because she was informed that the hair products are dedicated to shrines in India where they are mass produced.

Ozokwor who attributed the increasing rate of madness to the use of wigs, said that “If you have repented and you have not changed your wardrobe, you still have a long way to go.”

While reacting to the viral comments by the veteran actress, controversial Lagos OAP and leader of the Free the Sheeple Movement, Daddy Feeze, took to his Instagram page to write an open letter to Patience, saying that he finds her comments hyprocrital.

Read Daddy Freeze’s open letter below;

*********

“Dear Aunty Patience,

Please do not find this letter insulting, as that is not my intention, rather I’m seeking to clarify unattested fallacies that have germinated into full blown Christian doctrines and I hold you in high esteem, as you remain one of my favorite Nollywood actresses.

However, due to the paucity of genuine pastors in Nigeria, most of us were schooled in both error and ignorance.

I was once a victim myself, before I became enlightened in both spirit and scripture. I once allowed someone whom today I find unfit to wash my car, guide me in matters of the spirit.

I was lead in delusion, ensuing from the amalgamation of the deficit in my pastor’s understanding and the plethora of his greed.

God called me to rescue Nigeria from unscholarly teachers bereft of the spirit of God. –

I find it hypocritical (pardon my use of the word, but I lack a better appellation to aptly portray what our faith has become), when Christians say things like: “weaves are dedicated to shrines”. Can you guarantee that the car you are driving and the clothes you are wearing were not dedicated to shrines? Are they from ‘christian’ sources?

If you understand the sign language of the occult like I do, you will realize that many banks, cosmetic, food, beverage and automotive conglomerates are deep in occultism, with their products dedicated to shrines. So if you stop wearing weaves are you going to also stop using toothpaste or bathing with soap as well?

As long as we continue being lazy Christians seeking blessings, these pagan shrines will continue to feed us.

Here is another angle, you stopped wearing weaves and closed your hair salon, but you are going to celebrate the birthday of Nimród on the 25th of December, a birthdate he shares with almost every single sun deity, and worship ‘Jesus’ on Sunday, the day of the worship of the sun god?

Then you will proceed to celebrate the resurrection of ‘Jesus’ on the day dedicated to the Babylonian goddess ‘Ishtar’, coincidentally aligning with ‘Eostre’ a goddess of the Saxons in honor of whom sacrifices were offered.”

Kirk Franklin Flies To Houston & Forgives Ailing Father He Never Knew

Kirk Franklin Forgives Father

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin has said that he has freed his father in his mind after 47 years of harbouring ill feelings towards him.

On Sunday, September 16, 2018, the 12-time Grammy awards winner shared the reason for letting go of the ill feeling via his Facebook.

Kirk Franklin narrated how he spent his life hating his father for giving him up for adoption. Franklin’s mother was only 15 when she had him. While considering abortion, her aunt intervened and ended up raising the talented artist as her own.

As a result, Franklin, who says he “never knew” his father, spent his entire life hating his dad. This changed when he heard about his dad’s ill health.

He writes:

“So…..Two days ago, I received an anonymous call that my biological father, who I never knew, has 3–6 months to live. I’ve lived my entire life hating this man. He and my biological mother gave me up for adoption, and it left me never feeling good enough….to this very day. I took my hate for him and used it as fuel to be the best father I could be for my own.”

The 48-year-old musician goes on to say that his faith helped him fly out to Houston to forgive his father in person.

But what I did wrong, is I never took that fuel, and turn it into forgiveness… and that is wrong. Wrong for him, me, and the God I proclaim to represent. How can I preach what I don’t practice. So I flew to Houston yesterday to do that. It’s painful, it’s a process, but how disappointed I would be in myself for this man to leave this earth without being forgiven. He deserves to receive what God gives me every day.”

He acknowledges how difficult forgiveness can be writing, “Pray for him, and for me. God this is hard…I weep as I write.”
